These overnight soaked oats are easy to prep and even easier to enjoy the next morning. Recipe by Chris Mohr, PhD, RDN.

What are overnight oats

Overnight oats are exactly what they sound like. They’re oats that have been combined with a variety of different ingredients and soaked overnight. They have a creamy consistency that’s slightly different than cooked oats. If you’re looking for a delicious grab-and-go breakfast, look no further. Simply stir together all the ingredients the night before, store in the fridge, and it’s ready to enjoy the next morning.

Why prunes are a great addition to this breakfast

Prunes are a healthy powerhouse and provide many essential vitamins and minerals that will level up the nutritional value of any recipe! Prunes are low glycemic and loaded with fiber, polyphenols, boron, potassium, and Vitamin K which collectively can contribute to gut health, reduced inflammation, cancer prevention, blood sugar control, bone health, and reduced cholesterol!
