Raw Witches Fingers

These edible Raw Witches Fingers are a delightfully healthy Halloween treat. Sweetened with prunes and a touch of maple syrup, these bars will bewitch children and adults into going back for seconds!

  • 5 California prunes
  • 3 dates
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp water
  • (optional) pinch of salt
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp dark cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp ground cardamom
  • 75g walnuts
  • 90g almonds
  • pumpkin seeds and 1 tsp red fruit pure for decoration


Blend almonds and walnuts until almost grounded, set aside.

In a food processor blend California prunes, dates, maple syrup and honey until a paste is formed. Add water if needed. Add almonds and walnuts, salt, cacao and spices and blend until a dough forms. If dough is to sticky add a bit more almonds/walnuts. Divide the dough into 1 inch balls and roll them into finger shapes.

Place pumpkin seed at the tip using a small amount of fruit puree. Serve immediately or keep refrigerated until needed. These Raw Witches Fingers can be made a day ahead, so you can keep your party prep to a minimum.
