What is in an Aperol Spritz?
What is in an Aperol Spritz? Prohibition Spirits‘ creative riff on the refreshing recipe shakes things up with an infused prune syrup.
What ingredients are used to make an Aperol Spritz?
Most Aperol Spritz recipes call for three basic ingredients – Aperol, Prosecco and and club soda. We took some liberties with the classic recipe, swapping Prosecco for sparkling rosé and adding a dash of an infused prune syrup.
What does an Aperol Spritz taste like?
Aperol is an Italian liquer. Aperol is technically considered a bitter, but it has a herbal citrusy flavor. The addition of sparkling wine and club soda results in a refreshing, low-alcohol cocktail that’s easy to sip.
How does Prune Syrup change the flavor of this wine cocktail?
Prohibition Spirits made an Infused Prune Syrup with warm spices like peppercorn, cardamom and cloves. It’s subtly sweet, but with a touch of spice – which pairs beautifully with the Aperol.
