Bowl of Mozzarella Balls, basil and prunes to make bone healthy skewers

Why are Prunes and Mozzarella such a great combination?

Mozzarella is a good source of calcium, delivering 15% of the daily amount required for most adults in just one ounce. Prunes are high in Vitamin K and copper, which help your body to use the calcium efficiently.

Bonus: Did you know that mozzarella is a probiotic? Some studies have shown that probiotics have the potential to increase you body’s calcium levels and help fight bone loss.

The Power of Prunes

Eating just 4-6 prunes a day is a delicious way to improve your gut health, bone health, heart health and more! Prunes are a healthy powerhouse and provide many essential vitamins and minerals that will level up the nutritional value of any recipe! Prunes are low glycemic and loaded with fiber, polyphenols, boron, potassium, and Vitamin K which collectively can contribute to gut health, reduced inflammation, cancer prevention, blood sugar control, bone health, and reduced cholesterol!
