Turkey Lettuce Wraps
Ground Turkey Lettuce Wraps are a staple at some of our favorite Asian restaurants. Our version is healthier than take-out and ready in under an hour.
Why are these homemade Turkey Lettuce Wraps better than takeout?
Well, there are a few reasons that we think our version has the edge over your favorite take out joint. For starters, when you cook at home, you’re in control of every single ingredient that goes into the dish. If you have allergies, food sensitivities or are watching your sodium, you can make sure that this dish is suitable for your specific needs or preferences. Avoiding gluten? Use Tamari or gluten-free soy sauce. Worried about the sodium content in your meal? Use low-sodium soy sauce and make sure to choose unsalted peanuts.
Another reason that we think our turkey wraps trump takeout: it’s ready in less than an hour AND you don’t have to leave your house. Sure you could order Uber Eats, but good luck getting your food in under an hour! We’d rather stay home and whip this together in our sweats, thank you very much.
Talking turkey: Can I make this recipe with leftover Thanksgiving turkey?
Can you make this with leftover Thanksgiving turkey? Absolutely! Just shred/chop the turkey, toss it in with the ginger, soy sauce and sesame oil and add it at the end. Cook for a few minutes until the turkey is warmed through.
